Wenning Hipping, Clapham- The works are nearing completion. The main roof is now completed. We have been working on a 400 year old crook barn truss and repaired with new purlins etc. Slating is completed to the main roof including lime bedding to ridge and gables (see photograph).
We are also working on re-slating with reclaimed Welsh slates in Headingley, Leeds. All new lead work. Re-pointing brick work to chimneystacks and isolated areas. Craftsman joiners on site to replace hip rafters, ridge tree, spars and wall plates: all rotten.
Other works completed this week: flat roof recovered with torch-on felt covering in Kirkstall, Leeds 5.
General repairs and maintenance works on numerous properties in the Leeds area. Large brick chimneystack re-pointed, re-flaunched including cleaning down the roof and guttering on completion in Adel, Leeds 16.
Projects to commence next week; re-roofing with Double Roman concrete interlocking tile covering. Re-roofing with Burlington slates with all associated lead work including lead burning box gutter details. Working on a Church in Bradford.
