Another productive week – insight into what we have been achieving at Pickles Bros:
Installed code 6 lead to box gutters incorporated with the re-slating with second hand Burlington slate roof on a Grade II listed building in Wakefield.
Recovering a semi-detached house in Alwoodley with a new Double Roman concrete interlocking roof, permeable breathable felt, UPVC trays to eave. Supplied and fixed 50 mm rigid board insulation to current Building Code regulations. Replacement guttering with new aluminium OG profile guttering. Replacement lead work to two chimneystacks. Replaced circular bay and extension with Wolfin Tectofin single ply roof covering.
Completing a re-roofing project on a Victorian detached property in Roundhay, Leeds. Stripped and recovered the second hand Welsh slate roof; sourcing local slates to match the existing colour/quality. Pointing ridge tiles with cement mortar with a traditional finish. Replaced lead work to lead valleys, chimneystacks, copings, abutments, dormer cheeks – all to Lead Code regulations. Replaced the front dormer with a new single ply roof system which has a twenty year warranty. Installed 50 mm rigid board insulation using all associated materials to maintain U value. Replacement guttering with new aluminium OG profile (site extruded) guttering.
Re-built a stone chimneystack; cutting and sizing stone to the same profile/colour as existing. Re-flaunching and setting ornamental sourced chimney pots on base slate.
Busy this week also carrying out surveys/reports and quotations for private and commercial clients, which brings optimism for our work schedule for the coming Summer months.
